NFL Power Rankings: Week 15

“Whatcha gonna do when the Kansas City Chiefs run wild on you?”

New England is back on top after the Dallas Cowboys fell to the New York Giants, but beware of those pesky Kansas City Chiefs who are now 2nd in the power rankings. We’ve got ourselves a late season dogfight for playoff positions.

cleveland
0-13
Cleveland is our only hope at this point for perfection. I would love to see this franchise get a victory, they'd celebrate like the Cavaliers winning the NBA Championship but let's face it - this team still continues to spin its wheels.

31
san-francisco
1-12
San Francisco was so, so, so close to getting a feel good victory and then they allowed 11 fourth quarter points, which ended up being a part of 20-0 NYJ run. Ugly.

jacksonville
2-11
The FIRE GUS BRADLEY party continues. This team is so bad and they're wasting so much talent. Bradley is in over his head as a head coach.
29
28
chicago
3-10
Chicago had the division-leading Detroit Lions on the rope. Instead of going for the knockout, Chicago let Detroit off the ropes and paid the price.
28
26
los-angeles
4-9
Los Angeles fired Jeff Fisher following the loss that tied Fisher for the most in NFL history. Fisher even sucks at sucking.
27
29
new-jets
4-9
New York started off playing crap football, as usual. They ended things by rolling off a 20-0 run, capped by a 19 yard rushing touchdown in overtime. Bad football is bad.
26
24
san-diego
5-8
San Diego lost their most important player - Melvin Gordon - to a hip strain and knee sprain. The Chargers did a poor job of protecting Phil Rivers and Rivers did a poor job of protecting the football.
25
25
cincinnati
5-7-1
Cincinnati had their bye week this week - facing Cleveland. Still a firm believer in this camp that it is time to move on from Marvin Lewis and we'll keep pushing that narrative.
24
23
arizona
5-7-1
Carson Palmer struggled again, while David Johnson was the star of the offense. Arizona continues to take on water, in what has amounted to a lost season.
23
22
philadelphia
5-8
Philadelphia learned another lesson on Sunday afternoon in how to win in the NFL. The Eagles led for most of the game but managed to lose in the last two minutes. Tough times in Eaglesland, but these things are bound to happen to a less than poor team.
22
27
carolina
5-8
Carolina remembered how to play defensive football this week! A total of 5 turnovers, coupled with 5 sacks and a safety - a banner afternoon for the Panthers defense.
21
21
indianapolis
6-7
Indianapolis could've done the damn thing but Andrew Luck turned over the ball 3 times and was mildly ineffective. The Colts will likely head toward a second straight playoff-less season.
20
20
new-orleans
5-8
New Orleans got shut down by Tampa Bay. For the second straight week, Drew Brees threw for 0 TDs and 3 INTs. That's how you lose football games. Brees did hit 4,000 passing yards for the 11th straight season, which is ABSURD.
19
18
buffalo
6-7
Buffalo spit the bit this weekend, all the while looking completely lifeless. Rex Ryan hasn't lost this team yet, but it certainly appears to be in the works. The last few weeks of this season could get ugly for Buffalo.
18
19
minnesota
7-6
Minnesota did the damn thing to the bad team. Good job, football squad. Hard to think this was Minnesota's first road win since September.
17
13
baltimore
7-6
Baltimore was allowed to hang around on Monday night but just could not do enough offensively. Their defense was also outed by the team who could be considered the Super Bowl favorites.
16
16
washington
7-5-1
Washington looked to be down and out against their division rivals but somehow managed a very late 25 yard touchdown run with 1:53 left in the game to save their playoff hopes.
15
17
green-bay
7-6
On November 23rd, Aaron Rodgers said "I feel like we can run the table, I really do." Since then, the Green Bay Packers are 2-0 and sit in the 9th seed, a game out of the 6th seed. Watch out, these guys might be dangerous.
14
15
tennessee
7-6
Tennessee did some hanging on Sunday afternoon when they held off the Denver Broncos' 4th quarter rally. The Titans led 13-0 at half and almost blew it, but this definitely is a signature victory for this young team.
13
14
tampa-bay
8-5
These guys in Tampa Bay might be halfway decent at the football games. Tampa's defense is smothering opponents and this week is no different. 11 points allowed - good luck with that, opposing offenses.
12
11
houston
7-6
I think Brock Osweiler made a deal with the devil after signing his massive deal with Houston. These Texans continue to do a little here and a little there every week and yet they find themselves on top of the AFC South. This team does appear to be the best of the worst in the AFC playoff picture.
11
12
miami
8-5
Miami suffered a big blow to their playoff hopes, despite winning on Sunday. Ryan Tannehill suffered a sprained ACL and MCL. Looks like he'll avoid surgery for now, but Matt Moore will lead the way for the remainder of the regular season.
10
10
pittsburgh
8-5
LeVeon Bell outgained the entire Buffalo Bills on Sunday, 298-275. That is absolutely absurd. Bell was on some next level stuff. Pittsburgh rolls closer to a playoff berth.
9
6
seattle
8-4-1
Russell Wilson had the worst game of his career on Sunday afternoon, throwing 5 INTs. Seattle looked out of sorts on both sides of the ball. The Seahawks have fallen from the 2nd seed in the NFC and are in desperate need of a wake up call.
8
9
detroit
9-4
Detroit completed the comeback against the Bears this weekend, but ultimately will pay the long-term price. Matt Stafford suffered a PIP joint dislocation as well as torn ligaments to the middle finger of his throwing hand. Ouch.
7
8
atlanta
8-5
Atlanta straight up beat 'em down and straight into submission. Atlanta's 42-14 destruction of the LA Rams actually pushed Jeff Fisher (finally) onto the unemployment line. Good job, Atlanta. A gold star for you.
6
5
denver
8-5
Trevor Siemian threw the ball 51 times and Denver's running backs ran the ball 9 times for 18 yards. Those two factors combined are the perfect way to lose a NFL game.
5
7
new-giants
9-4
The late season push of the New York Giants continues, and boy do they look scary. New York's defense held Dallas down and out just enough to pull out the victory.
4
3
oakland
10-3
Oakland struggled mightily against a very strong Kansas City squad. If the Raiders want to make it to the Super Bowl, another trip to Arrowhead might be in the cards.
3
1
dallas
11-2
Apparently the Cowboys can solve everyone in the National Football League but the New York Giants. Dallas will likely need to face New York again in their attempt to get to the Super Bowl.
2
4
kansas-city
10-3
Kansas City is the most dangerous team in the NFL. After defeating Oakland offensively, defensively and on special teams, there is no doubt that Kansas City will be hosting some playoff games this January.
1
2
new-england
11-2
New England dominated the league's number one defense and then lost their grip. The Patriots were able to gather themselves and win this game but that is intriguing to keep an eye on. Also, Tom Brady threw for 400 yards (!!!). He is way too good.
